Our Promise
Transparent Pricing
We believe you deserve to know exactly what you're paying for. No inflated MSRPs, no fake markdowns, no mystery surcharges. Just honest pricing for extraordinary furniture.
From Italian Workshop to Your Door
Every Bella Vero piece travels thousands of miles before it reaches your home. Understanding that journey helps explain what goes into the price.
Handcrafted in Puglia
Your piece begins in a family-run workshop in southern Italy, shaped by artisans who have refined their craft across generations.
Quality Inspected
Before leaving Italy, every piece undergoes a multi-point inspection — joinery, upholstery tension, leather finish, and frame integrity.
Ocean Freight
Container shipping across the Atlantic. We consolidate shipments to keep per-piece costs efficient without compromising protection.
U.S. Customs Clearance
Import duty, tariff classification, and inspection by U.S. Customs. We handle all paperwork and compliance so you never have to.
Port to Warehouse
Drayage from the port of entry to our stateside facility, where your piece is inspected again after the voyage.
White-Glove Delivery
Scheduled delivery to your home with unpacking, placement in the room of your choice, and packaging removal. Included in every order.
What's in the Price
Every dollar you spend is accounted for. Here is exactly what makes up the cost of a Bella Vero piece.
The Craftsmanship
What the factory charges to build your piece by hand — materials, labor, and the decades of expertise behind every cut and stitch.
Ocean Freight
Container shipping from Italy to the United States. Rates fluctuate with fuel costs and global demand, and we pass through actual costs.
Transit Insurance
Full-value coverage protecting your piece from the moment it leaves the workshop until it arrives at your door.
Import Duty & Customs
U.S. tariffs on imported furniture, customs processing fees, and any applicable inspections. These are set by the government, not by us.
White-Glove Delivery
Scheduled home delivery with room placement and packaging removal. We include this in every order at no extra charge.
Our Margin
How we sustain the business — pay our team, maintain the website, provide customer support, and keep bringing exceptional Italian furniture to the U.S.
No Hidden Fees
The price you see is the price you pay. White-glove delivery is included in every order. There are no “handling” surcharges, no processing fees, and no surprise costs at checkout.
We also don't inflate our retail prices to create the illusion of a sale. You will never see a manufactured “compare at” price on our site. The number on the tag reflects the real cost of bringing a handcrafted Italian piece to your home, plus a fair margin.
Why We're Different
Most furniture retailers mark up three to five times over their cost. They have to — between showroom leases, sales commissions, distributors, and regional warehouses, the overhead adds up fast. By the time a sofa reaches you, you're paying for a supply chain full of middlemen.
We work differently. We partner directly with the factory in Puglia. There are no distributors, no showroom overhead, and no intermediaries inflating the price. That direct relationship lets us keep margins lean while still offering the quality, materials, and craftsmanship you'd expect from furniture at twice the price.
Made-to-Order vs. Ready-to-Ship
You will notice that pricing can differ between made-to-order and ready-to-ship pieces, even for the same model. This is not a markup strategy — it reflects how international trade works.
Made-to-Order pieces are priced at the current euro-to-dollar exchange rate and today's freight costs. Because your piece is manufactured after you order, the price reflects real-time economics.
Ready-to-Ship pieces were imported at a locked-in landed cost — the exchange rate and freight charges from the date we placed the order. This can work in your favor when rates have risen since we imported, or it may mean a slightly different price point than the current made-to-order quote.
